Questions

EV charger installation FAQs

How much does an EV charger installation cost?
Our charger prices are shown above and cover a typical installation. The final cost will depend on your property and the work required, including the cable route, the condition of your existing consumer unit and your electricity supply. Complete our online survey and we'll assess these details before providing your quotation.
What if my consumer unit needs upgrading?
This is fairly common, particularly in older properties. If any upgrades or additional protection are required before we can install your charger, we'll identify this during the survey and include the additional work separately in your quotation. More on consumer units.
How long does installation take?
Most standard EV charger installations can be completed within half a day. More complex installations may take longer, and we'll let you know beforehand if this is likely to be the case.
Do I need to be at home?
Yes. We'll need access to your consumer unit, electricity meter and the areas required to complete and test the installation.
